Beyond Physical Violence
Coercive control and psychological abuse can cause profound, lasting harm—even when there are no visible injuries.

Our Mission
As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, The Fooled No More Foundation helps people affected by coercive control and related forms of abuse understand harmful patterns, access practical education, and connect with qualified independent support. We center survivor dignity, autonomy, and safety; welcome people of every gender and background; and advocate for better systems without diagnosing individuals or promising a particular legal or personal outcome.
Our four core pillars
-
Accessible Education: Clear, free information that helps people recognize behavior patterns and prepare informed questions.
-
Practical, Safety-Focused Tools: Resources for documentation, safety planning, and evaluating potential providers—used only when safe.
-
Connections to Independent Support: National and local starting points for shelter, legal, crisis, financial, and mental-health assistance.
-
Survivor-Informed Advocacy: Constructive collaboration and public education aimed at closing gaps in protection, practice, and access to justice.
Our Vision
A world where no one is left without the tools or legal protection to break free from abuse, rebuild their independence, and thrive in safety.
Community Makes it Happen
Community makes this work possible. You can volunteer, donate, share trusted resources, or introduce us to a mission-aligned organization. Every form of support should protect survivor privacy and dignity. Financial contributions sustain our charitable mission but do not purchase or guarantee an individual service or outcome.
Recovery is possible, and I am worthy of healing from coercive control and narcissistic abuse.
