Coercive control and related forms of abuse can affect a person’s safety, health, finances, relationships, and sense of reality. Survivors of every gender and background may struggle to find language for what is happening or to locate support that understands the larger pattern.
The Fooled No More Foundation provides practical education, safety-focused tools, and connections to independent services. We help people recognize concerning behavior, prepare informed questions, and explore options without diagnosing individuals or pressuring survivors into a particular decision.
We do not operate a shelter or crisis hotline, and we do not provide legal representation, emergency response, or clinical treatment. When individualized help is needed, we connect visitors with qualified independent resources.
Where Your Gift Helps
Donations help sustain The Fooled No More Foundation’s charitable work, including:

free educational resources about coercive control and related forms of abuse;

safety-planning, documentation, and provider-screening tools;

national resource navigation and referral information;

outreach, advocacy, and partnership development; and

responsible operating, technology, and communications costs.
Gift amounts are pooled to support the mission rather than assigned to a single person or guaranteed unit of service. Unless a campaign says otherwise, donations are unrestricted and may be used where they are most needed.

The Fooled No More Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, EIN 99-2515047. Donations are processed through our independent fundraising platform. Keep the receipt it provides for your records; tax treatment depends on individual circumstances and applicable law.
A contribution does not purchase legal, clinical, emergency, or shelter services and does not guarantee an individual outcome. If donating is not possible, sharing accurate resources or introducing us to a mission-aligned partner is also meaningful support.
